Senate Passes 'Unborn Victims' Bill

Two Senate Republicans voted against the bill, while 13 Democrats broke ranks with their party and supported it, even though many of those Democrats also voted for the Feinstein alternative.

and where the "war hero" stands:
Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the presumptive 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, voted against the final bill and for the Feinstein proposal.

It will be interesting to see if the voters see the next logical step, or if they just see it as a "get tough on crime" bill.
