re: Jester's new squad  and the changing of the 78th Eagles to the VMF-312 Checkerboards.

I guess some of you want to know whats going on with all the new squad stuff. I cant explain all of it but I will give you a brief overview:

Jester and Lowe have gone back German (Jg54) to aid in both axis support and squad night mission interaction with fellow allied squads.

The 78th Eagles were changed to the VMF-312 Checkerboards, PTO squad. This was my doing. Since lowe left I have always wanted to have an F4U sqaud. Same folks, different web site :)

Phaser11 has decided to "reform" the 78th Eagles along with, I think, kootdawg.

Hopefully this will allow some planed "relistic" axis/allied missions on squad nights.
Regards

Man, I can't keep up with you guys!   Thanks for the explanation, Hawk, that helps.

Getting pretty good nationality coverage in the CT except for the Japanese, Italians and Soviets it looks like.    Curious, has there ever been a dedicated CT VVS or RA squad?

Still seems to be a problem getting a dedicated Axis PTO squad, huh...maybe down the road if/when the IJ get another A/C or two, someone could resurrect one of the fallen IJ squads.    I'd guess the intro of the Ki.84 to AH would lead to at least one IJ squad forming around it.    J2M3 would definitely garner some interest, as would a Ki.44.

Anyway, good luck with the new squads all!
