Technicaly very good; you've managed to get great picture quality.

But the direction's a little bit uninspired; there's a bit too much chase view and no views from the enemies' planes at all; no feeling of story.

In other words, you're a great cinamatist; but you need a script! :)

I don't use the film viewer at all, it doesn't do what I want it to do. I use another program to record it. Using the Film viewer in the game, you are limited to views that AH has recored for you so it is generally a fight to try to get the shot you want.   Getting other views, I would have to nag the axis guys in the CT to film it.  I am not going to even try to do that.

This was just something I threw together for my guys in the squad.  Something to show them how close they should be with they shoot.  I mean I took it right from the film to the editor then burned it.

I am looking into making a good one with IL-2 once I get the gold pack.. there will be a script and everything.  Hopefully I will start making it next week...

Thanks for the comments... will try to improve on it.

Sorry MaddogJoe,

I am starting production in a week or two.  I am going to make a movie to pay respect to the 325th FG.  One of the missions they did.  I am just trying to find the right skins for it... and getting a new avi editor too... I am going to start doing them in Divix seems to be higher quality but lower MB....

I will post it here when I get it done...

Okay I guess I am not giving away any serects here... I use Fraps99 but upgrading to Fraps2.0,  an avi editor that I can crop the resolution with AVIEdit by AM Software, window movie maker, but upgrading to Sony Screenblaster.  I wish I had the money for Adobe Premiere 6.0 but don't have the 800 bucks for it.  Claudio audio sampler to get the music, and lastly I use Jasc's Animation Shop 3 for some stuff...

For my movie I am doing this...
On 30 January the Group recorded its victory of its career and the biggest aerial victory of the Italian campaign, with the 317th making an important contribution. On that day, 60 P-47s divided among the three squadrons flew to Udine, Italy, over 300 miles of water at altitudes not exceeding 50 feet, to escape detection by German radar. They arrived at the target before the B-17s , were to be over it, and so complete was the surprise sprung by the Thunderbolts, that out of some 50 enemy aircraft that were belatedly trying to escape, 37 were destroyed in aerial combat and many damaged, with the loss of only 2 of the group’s planes. Our squadron accounted for twenty-four (317th Pursuit Squadron) of the 37 destroyed, with Capt. Green credited with 6 of the victories. For this the Group was awarded it second Distinguished Unit Citation, the first was awarded for the 21 victories gained in Sardinia.
