My wife is a big South Park fan and this was her response to this thread.
"Yep, I saw it...saw it twice. It's HILARIOUS!!!! It's mostly making fun of
Mel Gibson. See, the little bit you got taken out of context probably has
everyone in a tizzy.
The big thing the the PASSION movie is that the Jewish community thought
there would be retributions against them for "causing" the death of Christ.
So they were all worried about that. What that SP episode is about is that
Kenny and Stan went to see the movie, didn't like it, and wanted their money
back. Kyle, the Jewish boy, saw it and was so distraught and barfing. Eric
saw it 15 times and was heading up a movement of adults similar to Hitler's.
They were changing those things and not understanding what they were saying.
They thought it was a Christian movement that Eric was inciting, not a
Hitller movement.
But the funny part was the Mel Gibson part. It was his face like cut out
from a magazine and pasted for the head of a body from the SP artists. And
he was hopping all over and screaming and acting crazy. At one point, they
had him with the painted face from BRAVEHEART.
Anyway, I know that's a little more info than you wished for, but you were
receiving information out of context. 99% of the SP episodes end in some
lesson to be learned, and I can't remember what that episode's lesson was."
