You'd have to perk the P38L first, since the performance of the P61 is slightly less than that of the P38L

The tail span of that Hughes plane ,113.5 feet, is almost exactly 10 feet longer than the wingspan of a B17.

you can perk the p38L if you add the P-38J p38H and P-38F
