Looking for suggestions

I bought an R/C trainer a few weeks ago and have been receiving instruction. I'm not yet ready for solo but am ready to start building a WWII Warbird. Any suggestions as to model, brand, or size? I do have experience building models so difficulty isn't an issue.

Pick a plane you dont really like so you won't feel bad when you crash it.  

Seriously, make a warbird your third airplane, first the basic trainer, then an advanced trainer, maybe tailwheel,  then when you have mastered that one, think warbird.

Might be more of a question of building skills rather than flying skills (after you master the trainer.)

Top Flite makes a nice P-51 kit that is simple to build. Stay away from the spits and hogs until your build skills are mastered (wing builds flat on the board my ass)

I understand the appeal of r/c warbirds but why not grab a cheaper low wing semetrical airfoil bird first. The Great Planes RV4 is cheap and a kick in the pants to fly. Plus you can cover it yellow and pretend you are hitech (sans one seat but oh well.)

I've built several line controlled planes loser and an r/c glider over 20 years ago. I'll take a look at the Top Flite stuff, thanks.
