Advice on Weathering...
« on: July 14, 2004, 01:43:05 AM »
I'm curious if anyone has any tips for weathering and scratches?  I've seen some really good weathering affects on other birds and would like if someone could give me some hints.  I've tried the whole pencil thing with random strokes but it just doesn't look right in the end.  I could probably do a diffuse on the leading edges or something to that affect.  Would appreciate and tricks of the trade.  I'm new to this skinning thing.  Thanks in advance...

I use "Eye Candy" (free download) and use HSB noise to create the weathering.
Try http://www.1java.org/sh/ (Skinners Heaven). Look at the tutorials, Rudels is a good starting place.
