Help getting the most out of dial-up connection
« on: July 23, 2004, 12:59:14 PM »
What can I do to get the most out of my dial-up connection that Im stuck with?
I have found & disabled the Windows Auto Update in the "run" then msconfig then services. I do not use any anti-virus program.
I do have the the firewall protection checked for the normal Windows setting on my Internet connection.
I have tryed to lower my connetion speed from 56k to 33.6k but Im not sure how to do that? Can someone walk me thru?

Im running Windows XP Home.

Is there anything else I can disable in msconfig in services without allowing me to surf normally?

Here are my pings using command promt, any help would be much appreciated, Thanks in Advance
