Just watched WWI in color on the History Channel. Are those WWI color video clips real or just cut 'n paste the ones from early WW2?

They're real  WWI B&W clips that have been colorized by a computer. They made excellent strides in being able to slow down the old WWI motion pictures so that they move in realtime, instead of being accelerated.

I watched it last night and enjoyed it very much. I'm glad to see that they're preserving that old footage as best they can, even if not in the original format.

They did a really good job of it.  It looked a lot better than the colorization that happened back in the 80's.  The thing I was wondering about was the air war footage. Were those real clips or from some movie?
