OK, let me better explaine. A6M2, 3 and 5 had no self sealing tanks. When these tanks were hit, the fuel would leak. Airspeed made the leak turn into a mist or spay. Secondary tracers etc ignited the spray. Should the external tanks be modeled the same? This is the reason the were jetisoned before combat.
