« on: January 19, 2000, 03:25:00 PM »
Sometimes when i log on i recieve the message:
"Not recieving downloads switching to TCP"
Everything else is normal. I guess it's not a bug, but what does it mean ?

Just curious

Switching to TCP ?

It means that your connection isn't working properly using the UDP connection method.  The UDP method is generally faster, but less reliable.  Normally this happens when you are running from behind a firewall or proxy of some sort.  It can also happen if your connection fails, as AH tries an alternate method of connection.  If AH always does this, but works fine, you likely are behind a firewall that will not let the UDP packets through.
