HT, Bomb blast and Gun damage vs CVs

HT,

need to look at how blast damage is done to CVs. had a fighter drop 1 bomb, i hit the water behind the CV by 100/200 yards, yet it killed both 5" Island guns and radar.

Gun damage
i know CV durability is done for  game play, but i dont think
a CV should go down to just guns only.  a 110G with  4 20mms and 2 30mms can sink a CV in 2 passes using guns only.

should we really be able to  kill a CV  that was huge in size with guns only?

I was firing on a cv from a shore battery, and noticed that I was killing guns even tho I was missing by a few hundred yards. it seems to be the same with the support ships also.
