FYI, Jet123...

I also am running a Barton 2500 on an ASUS A7N8X del. mb,
it overclocks nicely w/o any problems.

I currently have mine set at 2.1GHz and 400, that's right 400, FSB.
You have to set the multiplier to 10.5 from it's original value of 11, but it runs smooooooooth like this and cool...44 C.  Just make sure you have adequate cooling in your case.  Funny thing is on boot, it's now recognized as an Athlon 3000. I installed an XP3000 and couldn'tget that piece of crap to run at it's minimum specs. ( 2.1 GHz) no matter what I did.

2500 bartons are automatically set at 11 (clock locked). All you have to do is move the FSB to 200 mhz vs 166. That gives you a 3200. You may need to upgrade the cooling a bit, but you can get a good copper cooler for under $20 and some arctic silver for $5. If you don't know what you're doing you could damage the chip swapping coolers, so think twice. But, it may hit that with just stock cooling...YMMV.

You do need to have good RAM for this to work easily.  It is best to have at least PC 3200  RAM.

It depends on a LOT of variables. Do your homework so you don't fry something, go slow and test for stability.

I never really added it up as it wasn't a kit. Probably less than $200 and this is the second computer it has been installed in.  It is silent and works well since I usually don't use aircon and my tower is hidden inside a desk bay.  The heater core radiator with 2 shrouded 120mm fans is external and sits in front of a window with a nice ocean breeze.

Here is monitor :D

Puter is nothing special to look at - Antec 1080 server tower.  Looks don't matter to me-only performance and my tower is completely enclosed in my desk.
