« on: September 18, 2004, 04:47:27 PM »
Since AHII I have had problems with my new sound card SB-AG2

It could be your mic is dieing.

Try recording yourself in windows and see if it still breaks up.

Have you tried lowering your sound acceleration down a notch?

start/run/dxdiag

Adjust it from there. I have mine at 3/4's

Also, goto Setup > Preferences > Voice,  at the top there is a 'Use Wave In' box, change that to see if it makes any difference.
Per Skuzzy and his tips, sound hardware acceleratin should be 3/4 as mentioned above.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I haven't had to change that with my newer SB Audigy card. I'm using the Audigy 2 Platinum now. When I used an Audigy Gamer, I would have to check that everytime I logged in.

Mine would never break up, but I would have to check that for people to be able to hear me.
