I have a couple of films of guys in the training arena doing thing i can't.
Buzzing around me like bee's really.
What is your turning procedure?

What corner speed do you use for the mk9 spit?

What for the niki?

I use 160 and 3 g's

150 and 1 notch of flaps 3gs

Do any of you use 100% on the rudder to increase roll.

I tried it it gives you a super fast roll in the spit. It also give me a dont move message.

Just be sure you are not using any flap in the Spit.    The spit doesn't have combat flaps, so flapping in a spit will just stop you.  They can be useful to force an overshoot.  Sometimes you can get a minor advantage from flaps in the spit if you pump them as well.  Keep extending and retracting them and never letting them get past about 50% deployed.  I have not tested this in AH, but it used to be a tiny advantage in WB.  I wouldn't pump them in a flat turn, but use them with yoyo's.  Start extending flap into a high yoyo, then retract at the peak again.  Same if I'm looping it.  As long as you don't let it get past about 50% the drag won't kill you too bad.

BTW, can you send me those films?  I'd love to take a look and see what you mean.  sconrad@hfx.eastlink.ca

The N1K2 has automatic combat flaps (slats) that automagically deploy when you are near stall turning. So you shouldnt need flaps, they may even be counter-productive. You will have to ask a niki expert.

Just attache 'em to an email and send it that way.  The films will be in your Aces Hich\Films directory.  Hit the paper clip and then browse to the film and select it.

Send 'em to sconrad@hfx.eastlink.ca  I'll get them on a web page so others can take a look if you like.

To me it all depends on speed.  In my hog I turn really well above 300mph.  It isn't a small turn but it is a fast turn.  While his circle at max turn rate is smaller than my high speed turn because of my speed I may still make it around the outside faster.  This could be the cause of your UFO sightings.  I try to keep my speed up and turn fast for short bursts

In outlook express when you hit the paper clip, you will get the "Insert Attachment" dialog box.  The top field in this dialog is a list box called "Look in:"  Hit the little arrow at the right side of this box, and from the list select your C: drive, or the drive AH is installed on.  In the contents list below this, you will see a list of files and folders on C: drive.  Now double click on the Program Files folder, and then on the Aces High folder.  Next double click on the films folder.    When you get to that folder you should see files named something.ahf.  Select a file by left clicking on it and then click the attach button.  That should do it.

BTW, I would have emailed you instructions, but there wasn't an email in your profile.  Drop me a note directly at sconrad@hfx.eastlink.ca if you like.

There has to be a way to browse there someplace.

If not, look at the files that you can see.  Use the Find function from the start menu to search your hard drive and find out what directory that attach window is looking in.  Then, copy the films into that directory.  In this way when you hit the attach button the files you want should be right there ready to be attached.
