I was thinking that it would be realy cool and employ little programing to include CB's as a possible loadout for the
C-47. Existing Paratroopers could be used, only a CB as an icon instead of a P. They could, of course, fix things
such as a field radar, fighter hanger or vehicle hanger. 10 CB's per object fixed. Ideally the parachutes should be
disabled so that they must be deployed on the ground. They should not be able to fix a bomber hanger, so that
one planeload of CB's would become many. Their purpose would be to restore a newly captured field to operational
status (except for bombers, and more CB's). They could be implemented in a near release by having them also
seek-out the map room as troops do. When 10 get in, a fighter hanger is rebuilt, for example. The next 10 might fix
the vehicle hanger, and so on. Distant future releases could involve deploying CB's imediatly next to the object
that you want to be fixed. Perhaps 100 CB's could even fix the HQ or another strat. target.
Oh yea, they should also either have a short life expectancy (10 or
20 seconds), or not head towards the map room unless it is within
200' or so. This would prevent people from deploying CB's as soon as
they spawn at a field that is under attack. They would at least have
to taxi 1/2 way across the field and stop. This would also provide
vulch opportunities!
Just a thought.
