TC clip....

here is a film I made awhile back, it is nothing fancy, I was trying to defend A130 on Trinity map, Enemy kills all of the FHs and I am left fending for my life, I try to extend out from the field only to find a P51D & 3 FW190s just about having me surrounded me low them with alt, I fight them off, to have another Bf109 and F4U join the fray, Hajo in the 109 takes my bait when I call no ammo, the last F4U and F4f wanted the easy kill and try to run me down, F4f dumps when bout 1/2 the arena gets booted, I sucker the last F4U in to reverse the chase and pop him with my last 40 rds or so, is long film ( orginal was 52 mins long, I cut first part out where I was in an Osti, the first F4U hop is a short one where I down 2 Lancs and a FW190 , I land and take off again, then the last part that I mentioned above takes place....

thanks for hosting Humble, it isn't much of a film compared to others here but  thought I would share it.

I got a nasty habit of doing what I call "throw away shots" wasting ammo seeing if I can coherse the enemy into turning/change direction of flight

I need to work on not doing this so much :(

I think watching yourself on film is like hearing yourself speak for the first time....invariably you go "YUK" that cant be me. Everytime I look at a clip my gunnery and "heavy hand" makes me feel like barfing:)....

I'm in the same boat as you, compared to the "aces" the various clips I've posted are pretty mundane. But to me (from a former trainers viewpoint) clips like ours are often better for the "average" guy. How in the world to you "teach" a guy to rumble like Lev or Drex or the others.

I tend to only post the stuff that shows a very specific set of defined circumstances that can be duplicated once you "see" whats happening. Basic "building block" type progession...

level 1

Why do I die when I have alt & E but get killed all the time when the other guy does?

level 2

I'm OK in an "even" fight but die when a high con actually engages...

level 3

I'm great till I get worn down then a lala always chases me down and kills me....

once you get beyond 3 I'm looking for answeres like the rest:):)

i liked your film TC, just one of those beautifull days in Aces High where you dont have to strain against the machine of the crowded MA.

thx Mechanic, this was first film I have ever had posted,.........I thought it might be good to see how it is to be bounced by 2 at a time or being bounced in a continous interval but not actually 3 or 4 at same time... 2 maybe

I wish in away they came at me faster so I could show why you must constantly switch views, get the mental picture and evaluate what is happening, so as an example you know the 190 came in on me, but I knew the F4U was coming right behind him, so I in a way took my mental picture and knew what I need to do, direction to go to get behind him

I hope in AH2 to get some better films, had some great ones of  AH1 just never did take a thought to post any....

anyhow, I welcome any crtiquing of this film that might help me even more.....

i agree with the wasting of ammo part of what you said also. i do it too, mainly if i have 303s or 50s as the secondary weapon. sometimes a single set of my 50cal or MGs and set to max convergence. just giving a con a ping at 800-1000 yards is enough to make them make mistakes sometimes :)

also, do you find when watching your fims in chase view or combinations of chase and padlock, the jerky wild ride from the cockpit gets transformed into beautifull precision flying?
