As most of you guys don't see CBC down south you may have missed some of the news coverage of the many disturbances that occured when your president visited our country recently.  I felt you need to be aware of the level of activisim here in Canada.....



INTERNATIONAL EVENTS
George W. Bush in Canada: Major Disturbances Reported Throughout the Country

(Canadian police have reported the following disturbances and acts of civil disobedience during President George W. Bush's visit.)

A Tim Horton's donut shop manager in Sudbury, Ontario reports that three separate customers "forgot" to clear off their tables.

Winnipeg police find a car parked more than six inches from the curb.

An angry mob in Toronto tips over a Matchbox replica of an American car outside a busy downtown department store.

A man in Saskatoon changes the channel on his television set while President Bush speech to Canada is being broadcast.

In Montreal, dozens of incidents of people complaining about the weather are reported.

Women in the Yukon strip down to their sweaters, leaving them with only four layers of clothing.

University students in Vancouver boycott American fast food restaurants for two hours.

A bus driver in Calgary fails to say "Have a nice day" to a passenger getting off the bus.

A man in Fredericton, New Brunswick deliberately neglects to use his right-turn signal while changing over from the center lane.

Thank you for peeling away that veneer of civility projected by Canadians, and showing us the true nature of the savage beasts that dwell north of our border.

This is an outrage. I say we Invade Quebec....and leave them our Culture, French technology and British food..........wait a minute ....they allready have those.

Ripper, we (The U.S. President) only visits when the weather is cold...most protesters have been silver-spooned nutured and will not brave the cold.

Well this here is where the problem starts.  Being Canadian I know that it does not really count as cold until its -25, and only if there is a strong wind to cool things off.  It does not even get cold until February, or there abouts.  It was very brave of your president to vist us in the middle of a heat wave.....

As for the protesters, as you can see in my original post. the authorities were considering a "state of emergency" and were looking at invoking the War Measures Act.
