Saitek X45 Joystick?
« on: December 28, 2004, 08:07:24 AM »
ok.. i cant be the only persone that's got this little toy =D  basicaly its a 2 piece flight controle joystick, 1 part with a throttle/rudder (+ a bunch of buttons and 2 trim nobs) and 1 joystick with a bunch of buttons.

now.. i have everything on this joystick set up how i want it to run with AH, except for two things.  The Aleron ( i think thats the "roll" trim) and Elevator trim.  I cant seem to figure out how to set these two settings to run off of the two trim dials on my joystick.

Anyone out there that is hopefuly useing the same joystick have any idea how i can go about doing this? (as useing a "key" to set something as "twitchy" as trim's is just pointless)

Thanks for any help.

once inside AH, go to the joystick setup
there you'll see the AH commands on the left and your stick selections on the right.
spin the rotor you want to use and notice the value change.
then chose what trim you want it to control, select the axis that the rotor controls (value changes when spun) and click set input

do this for all your trim/rotor choices

be sure to center and calibrate rotors when you calibrate jstick in AH
