I haven't really looked at the B26, but in general terms those annoying little patches that cover some of the old skins cannot be altered. You just have to pick schemes that work round them, or cheat a little. HTC are quite tolerant of dodges to avoid skin bugs on old skins, so long as the skin looks generally OK.
The first thing I do when thinking about a new aircraft to skin is test it for bugs and patches. I use a test file I got from Skinners Heaven and screenshot the aircraft all over, gear up and down etc. Sometimes I make a bug outline layer to really get a handle on what is going on. Its worth taking the trouble to do this just to save a lot of frustration later.
OTOH if I'd done this properly before starting the F4Us I'd have given up on them there and then.

Here's a shot I took of the Ju88 to show what I mean. The lower wings are mirrored (ID letters will need to be reversible) and the lower fuselage is patched down its length (fuselage band won't carry round). Also there is some stretching across the nacelles. Annoying, but along with the other minor bugs, not really show stoppers.
