Please explain for the hard head here
« on: April 01, 2005, 07:53:09 PM »
Driving a LVT tonight and all i hear is PING and thats it, im dead.  When a tank fires i hear the sound of a tank firing.  Well tonight i didnt hear anything except planes (no sound of bombs either). is there a airplane cannon that can kill a LVT with one shot? It has to be stronger than a PnZr 4 round. geeze ive put 3 rounds into a LVT point blank before.  What is the key to this rubix cube here.

Ummm.........I kill LVT's with .50 cals all the time.  Well, its been awhile since I had the chance, but last time I tried it I had no problem.  I would think if I can take one out in one or two passes with 6 x .50 caliber guns, cannon carryin planes would kill one pretty quick.

A single round to the petrol tank or an ammo store could be enough to knockout a vehicle.

I'd imagine a 30 or 37 mm round could do pretty good job even without that.

Come down directly behind the LVT and shoot through the doorway into the pilot's head. Poof.
