Fellow flyers.
I have always hated to see the farewell letters come in with reason for leaving which were from a negative experience. I consider myself lucky to have flown with and against the best.
To see the sun light disappear and reappear in the window while watching some of the best flying in the world was a pleasure the most of you would understand.
To all the squad members of the old 101st Carolina IronHeads.
It was an honor to have been the commanding officer of a group of men that was so dedicated to getting the job done, the enjoyment of flying together through the laughter and the disappointments made us one of the best squadrons in Aces High.
For 2 years to have seemed at moments go in slow motion I thank you for each one.
To all the others I have been wing tip to, it actually brings a tear to the eye to have enjoyed it so much. During my travels I will be able to replay our flights in my mind and I can’t thank you enough for those memories.
So now I can put my worn out stick in storage
Farewell and Good Huntin
