Is there some halfass hack that'll record only when the trigger is pulled...like a real gun cam?

It's been discussed before and they haven't done anything about it yet. I think it would be a nice feature. You should post this in the wish list forum.

I programmed my CH Fighterstick to start guncamera recording when the trigger was pulled and stop recording 10 seconds after release.  I did not find it especially useful.  The setup for the shot (i.e. the 10 seconds before you shoot) is more critical than watching sprites or no sprites.  

If you have a fighterstick its not very difficult, once the software configuration is explained.  Thrustmaster stick owners claim the TM's are much easier to program, but that's hearsay.
