My final Topic on the election:JJ Man of many faces
« on: December 15, 2000, 08:17:00 AM »
Is it just me or did Jesse Jackson do a 180 right after Bush won.

The day before Bush won JJ was saying how his people would not support him how the would undermine his authority every chance they got and how they were going to take to the streets and yet the very next day he says he will support him and do what ever it takes to get along.

WHA?!HUNH?!

What about all his so called people he got all riled up and left? What are they supposed to do?

He did exactly what you Reps did in this forum: Slung mud, promoted hate and loathing of anyone minutely associated with any liberal thought.

Now, just like JJ, you've gone 180 degrees, and want us all to go arm in arm together into the future with GWB as our president, pretending that we're all good friends and brothers.

My arse.

You Reps have sown the wind. You shall reap the whirlwind. To be continued in two to four years.....

Not this Republican banana. I'm still for smaller government, less taxes and responsibility of one's self.

I think you'll see this unity crap blow away in the next couple of months. Then we'll see the "partisanship" in all it's glory..

That is really a sweet thought banana.

If you had spent the last 8 years getting kicked in your facial politic you would be pretty pissed off as well.

Fortunately , GWB appears to be willing to try and bring opposing political forces together to try and work for common purpose
and benifit.

Heres hoping he can do it.

LOL!  I'd say the contribution to the mud fight was equal from both sides.

Geez, if you think Libs are gonna be nice-e-picy, forget it!!  They will do their best to make it as hard as possible for GWB to get his agenda through!!  I say forget the libs and move forward with tax cuts and SS reform!!  The Clinton Gore legacy is the upcoming recession!!  They have done nothing the last 8 year to improve anything!!
Why would you think the libs want to solve problems?  If problems are fixed then libs will have no issues to run on!! And libs aren't needed.

I hope GWB will end-run the libs in Congress and appeal directly to the public with his proposals!!  No peace with libs as they are and always will be on the attack!!

I sure did sling mud on the Clinton administration, and would again. I will stand and be counted.

I voted for Evan Bayh (D) twice for Governor. He did a great job in Indiana and would most likely do a great job as president, some day.

I voted for Jimmy Carter (D) against Reagan. He did do a fair job, and I voted Reagan the next time.

I voted for John McCain (R, but more like a Centrist) against Bush in the primary.

In short, I am a classic ticket-splitter. I watch what the administration does and what they promise to do next time.

As for Jackson, he said Bush "won using Nazi tactics".

banana I haveNOT done a 180.

I dislike Gore as much today as I did before Bush won.

Also I'm not going to sit here and tell you we need to try to get along because I know that is impossible.

To even insinuate that JJ and I are even close to being the same is a major insult to me and every NORMAL American.

JJ is a racist and a opportunist and in no way should he be on TV now trying to suck up to Bush.

By the way I hate to tell you but the Demos are the ones who are trying to get everyone to get along because they know they have very little power and they have to suck up to the Repubs to get anything done.

Interesting topic...

Im sure most of you are hardly into heavy rap/metal music, but this is worth mentioning in this thread.

There is a band called Stuck Mojo (who btw are just brutal) and they are very political conscious. Actually, they really hit the issues right on the head. Ya can give them a little extra credit for drilling JJ, cuz their singer is black which kinda helps you understand where this is coming from.

Anywho, here is a clip from their latest CD, Declaration of a Headhunter.

"Open Letter" by Stuck mojo off Declaration of a Headhunter

An open letter to the Rev. Jesse Jackson,

"We, the members of the Mojo family, feel that your actions and rhetoric as a self professed leader of the black community are in fact detrimental to the very people you claim to represent.  We also feel that as a result you do much to undermined the well-being and harmony of the United States as a whole.

You work for the advancement of the black community and you speak from a position that the black population cannot advance itself socially, politically or economically because an immovable object, the white establishment, forever blocks its path.  Yet you preach further support such as welfare and affirmative action that put members of the population in a position of dependency and reliance on the establishment.

You bask in the glow of the media spot light, you passionately decree that racism and prejudice are alive today as they were four hundred years ago, but does this do anything to reverse it's effect?  No one with the intelligence will deny that a great atrocity was committed against the black race at the hands of white settlers of this country, but a wound cannot heal if it is continuously re-opened.  That is to say, that it will heal but it will take much longer and the scar it leaves will be grotesque and raise high on the skin.

A true leader leads by example and the example you have shown is not one of strength of character, self-reliance, commentment to excellence or personal accountability.  It's these traits that are necessary to advance oneself as an individual.  It is only as strong courageous and moral individuals that any race can live the quality of life that it chooses.

We give our deepest respect to the true leaders:  Alan Keys, J.C. Watts, Tony Brown, and Dr. Walter Williams.  Men who never deny their heritage but are proud to be first and foremost a part of the human race."

By this CD, it's really good. (well, that's if a "Pantera beats up Limp Biscut" kinda sound is appealing to ya   )

I listen to a very liberal radio station. These people are a little left of Karl Marx.

Last night I learned something that had never occurred to me. A liberal Demo was discussing the harm that JJ was doing to there cause. He was going on about how black voters were turned away from the polls, other stuff of that nature. Then he pointed out that as soon as JJ showed up the media turned there attention away from the issue, and on to JJ. His reputation as a trouble maker is far more newsworthy than any complaint liberals might want to put before the people. He went on to describe how, time after time, Liberal, and black, issues have been ignored with the appearance of JJ on the scene. Most Americans just don't like the guy. So any issue that JJ becomes associated with, becomes suspect,as far as having any validity.

So the next time the guy gets on your nerves. Just remember. He is running interference for conservatives .

Good post, Creamo.

I think the racism we (whites) need to be wary of is thinking Jesse Jackson is representative of blacks any more than David Duke is representative of whites.
