Offline warp speed
« on: September 11, 2005, 06:56:56 PM »
Have noticed substantial increases in performance for all planes -- including drones -- most of the time offline.

Shows up as if all events occurring on much quicker timescale. While I have really liked this for practice purposes, and wish it were available offline all the time, I guess it ahs to be noted as a bug.

For objective purposes, used Hurri2C time to climb 3k at full throttle, auto take off.

Offline: 28 seconds
TA online: 2 minutes, 22 seconds

I have the same issue... Are you running an AMD 64 CPU?

I reinstalled both XP and AH from scratch without restoring from backup and still have the same problem. I never had this problem prior to 2.05.

I had the same problem when I loaded 1024 video textures. I have no idea why that would cause the speed to increase what seems like around double.

I just recently resumed my skinning attempts and had to load the texture pack.

Ht Skuzzy any clues how to fix this?

I think I found a fix for the offline speed issue...

I had restored an older copy over the fresh install, then ran through the updates manually. I still had the hires textures loaded, and offline speed was normal.
