yes, i thought the speech was well written and well spoken. Seemed to hit the points it needed to cover. Very inspiring as was the preceived unity of the US government and its resolve to action.

But I think you misunderstand.

'Jihad' is a fundamental tacet of Islam, and can mean many things all of which are open to interpretation.

One meaning, War, is governed by rules of conduct which dictate:

1) No harm must come to women or children
2) Destruction of livestock, property etc is not allowed
3) The enemy must not be killed if unwilling and unprepared to fight

That is one reason why most Muslims don't see these terrorists as Islamic. It is also why 'Jihad' as a handle is pretty inoccuous.
