I bet even money it goes console now.  I am almost certain thats why they changed the gameplay so dramatically.  Consoles is where the money is at.  Sucks for us PC types.

Well, they halted development of SWG for the Xbox, and I haven't been able to find any reference to them releasing it for the 360.  Anyone have a cite for that?

This is the way Sony does things now.  They release a product (SWG, EQ, EQ2) and have one goal that is only obtainable through a timesink that requires lots of grinding.  Then after a period of time (6-12 months) they numb down the skill level required to get the uber-item/uber-skill to keep the casual player from quiting and keep the new players rolling in.

Hey Ack-Ack you got any spare credits available for little old me. I haven't created my character yet but have been reading through all the install docs first. I should go online for the first time tonight on there.

If you play on the Corbantis server I can float some credits your way.  My in game name is Diego'.  Just send me an email in game with the your character's name on Corbantis.

NGE stands for New Game Experience.

Its basically an overhaul of the game where almost 40 professions are reduced to 9, Jedi is now a entry level profession, and a new combat style( first person shooter style) replaces the old target and action, special action combat.

NGE took a really complex amd immersive game, a genuine virtual, world and dweebs it down to a barely enjoyable playing experience for those of us who knew and loved the old game.

the nge was the last straw for me, played since betta and im done!  Majority of my guild is leaving to.  SOE truly screwed the pooch on this one.

Actually it makes me appreciate AH all the more for what it is.  The Devs here listen, pay attention and care about their subscribers.  Sony cares about the almightly dollar and little else and it shows.

The thing I am hating right now is the flippin update that I am now having to install and download just to get online and play after spending nearly 3 hours last night downloading the trial software. It seems like they are just wanting to update for the heck of it right now. As Odi said this experience so far makes me appreciate HTC alot more than my initial feelings for SWG. Good thing I had some work I could do while waiting on the 1 hour 58 minute download of the update to the trial software just to create a character.

Just got the game started. I fell asleep waiting on it last night. Now I am about to do character creation before going to work.
