OK, I somewhat agree that McDonald's should have bucked up and paid the woman that suffered 3rd-degree burns and spent 8 days in the hospital from the 185F degree coffee. http://www.lectlaw.com/files/cur78.htm

But $125K from a 2nd-degree burn on the chin from a hot pickle?

Having eaten a few McDonalds burgers, I cannot believe she could have gotten a burn from any food in the place! The ones I get are all just barely warm and certainly not hot enough to burn.
