invasion of Iraq was a dishonest conflation of an overblown threat from Islamic terrorism
====
How can anyone "overblow" a bonified religion where killing ones self in the act of killing innocent people is considered heavenly and serving God.

Especially in this modern age where weapons exist that can kill hundreds of thousands if not millions of human beings in a single moment.

I will read the article but I am already skeptical of any value it might provide.

Madrid, London, New York, D.C., Bali, Yemen, Kenya, Sudan, France, Holland, the ongoing Danish Cartoon riots... etc. etc. etc. and yet it's all a phantom.

Ah well, perhaps the up side of the election of Hillary in '08 will be that the media can at last admit that there really is a serious problem because they'll realize at that point that resisting it will redound to her advantage.

Except of course for the Sheehanites, for them of course its us "imperialists" that are the problem and the "Jihadi Freedom fighters" who are the solution. They won't be happy till Cindy has to wear a Hijab. Hey wait a minute... maybe there's an upside there as well... ;)

Tripe? Hmmm a major conservative wrote this. Did you actually read it?
I found some links for this fellow so you can see who he is.
He is a conservative of some repute from what I can tell. But I guess since he repudiates the current neocon actions he cant possibly be correct.

Shademeister, that part sounds real familiar.

yes , saddam was a peaceful dictator who loved little children and tried to provide a good life for the people of iraq.

then the evil neocon imperial storm troopers of bushhalaburton invaded his peaceful country to steal all the oil from the people of iraq.

oh brother, will it never end?
