messed up guns

Has anyone else had a problem with the guns where you can see the tracers go out and you lose ammo, but there is nothing registering that they hit. i've been shooting at the ground before and only 2 or 3 shots out of over 100 would actually show up as hitting. it's like the shots were never fired. yet you see the tracers going out and your ammo drops. when this happens the tracers look different. you can see the glow of the round but not the trail of smoke following the round. any idea what this is?

I havent ever noticed. But then, i havent been looking for it and i fly tracers off most of the time anyway.

Have you tried capturing it on screenshot (ALT S) or on film (ALT R)?



What i do notice at times is, that when my connect is not at its best (ie planes and text lag) some hits dont register at all (ie no hit sprites) and the damage to the plane comes with a time delay.

I've noticed a lack of hit sprites from time to time.  I should add in that I see no apparant damage either.

I've also noticed that even when I have the angle right and fire allot sometimes it SEEMS like I get no hits at all.  and Again I see no apparent damage.

My connect lately has been pretty sad at time.  One connect, the one that my ISP says should be my best, is really poor right at the AH server.  I get as much as 12% packet loss there according to pingplotter.  It's a 16 hop connect.

The other connect I use is 12 hops and at time I get some packet loss but it varies as to the location of the packet loss.  Usually the loss occurs in or around hop 5 on this connect.  Rarely goes over 5% though.

Either connect there are times when I SEEM to get no hits, but a little later I get a kill or an assist.  And of course there are times when I seem to get no hits and nothing happens.
