i need dxupdate.ccp... directx 9 wont install

HEEEELLLLPPPP ive asked on another forum and the topic is slowly getting pushed down so i asked you guys.  does anyone know where i can get dxupdate.ccp?

i cant play battlefield 2 because it says directx 9.0c isnt installed, which im sure i have. i go to install 9.0c and it gives me an error and says to look at the error report which says:

Click on the blue writeing next to where it says get the latest direct x here.
First you have to vaildate windows, then you will be taken to the download page, if you have a bootleg copy of windows xp it won't pass the validation and you won't get it.

OK allI can find on any dxupdate is that its a virus:

Theres nothing on teh net about a dxupdate.ccp, but I'd assume thats a variant of the above virus.

What are you going to do with files dxupdate.cpp and dsinline.h
?

BTW, if you got this file somewhere you would face much more serious problem than have now. Microsoft doesn't like when its proprietary materials are available for public.

Advice: re-install Windows, you definitly have some problems with operating system.

^^ What he said. Dxupdate.cpp is a Visual C++ source file, not a virus. Your installation of Windows looks broken; you should reininstall.

erm this is like my moms (very important) office computer..... i jacked it to use for games because it is the most powerful computer in the house

all i was planning to do is replace them in my windows folder.... i didnt think about the fact that microsoft wouldnt like that....

*edit* not sure if this will work or not, but you might be able to put the windows cd in the drive and select the repair option to fix the problem.

Use this utility to uninstall your direcx version and then reinstall the one you need.

Ok its not  a virus, thats a good thing, but if you "jacked" your moms work computer and messed up windows, and you can't fix it, then you might be in a world of doo doo.

If System Restore is switched on, you could try going to a restore point from before you started using the computer. Otherwise it is time to confess and rebuild the box.

sorry i was on vacation...i left on the 13th and i just got back...my comp says directx isnt even installed....
