That's a P-47M and I believe HTC will not allow skins of that model to be put on the P-47N.

Too bad, there are several neat Ms in the 56th FG.

I saw that scheme already. It was common of the P47Ms, but as has been mentioned, it's a very different beast from our N in several ways.

Whether it fits on a D-40 skin (as a stand-in) is debatable.

I talked with Doug about this and the D40 or N models won't be allowed in this paint scheme.
This scheme was used for the P47M's which were received by the 56th Fighter Group in Jan '45.
The 61st Fighter Squad used the black with red lines.
The 62nd Fighter Squad used a Base grey with Olive drab camo.
The 63rd Fighter Squad used a 2 tone blue camo scheme.

The 1st four M models were converted d25's. It's interesting to note they had alot of trouble with the M's engine Pratt and Whitney R2800-C model. It turned out they were poorly packaged for shipment to England and there was some rust accumilating on some of the parts. The pilots were also using thge same setting as they were for the older engines and the new engines were cutting out at high altitude. It was resolved by the mechanics working on the engines and modifying the way the pilots trimmed the settings on the engine. They actually cracked the engine test bed up to 3800HP on this engine.... sweet

i have seen this camo type on a N model... i wil try and find it.
but i dont know why they wont accept it any how...after all there are many things about this game that are not truly historical..

Selector, they let the "old" models slide. They are, however, holding a stricter scrutiny to the "new" models. Once the "old" ones are update, then they too will get the same scrutiny. It's just going to take time, and then everything will be to the same "historical standard".
