'Teletype news briefs'

In heavy combat over Italy the aircraft of the 15th Air Force downed many Luftwaffe planes.  High over Naples contrails of many Ju88's were seen, many trailing dark smoke and flames.  Even with the gallant defenders high overhead the bombs got through and the city suffered many casualties.

The 'USS Turdhurder' steaming in the Tyrhennian sea was lost early yesterday.  After surviving two hits by Ju87 Stukas a second wave of fighters came in and finished her off.  None of the brave Luftwaffe attackers survived the attack.

B26's of the 15th Air Force attacked and heavily damaged a Luftwaffe airfield near the front.  A lone C-205 was seen, and the brave pilot engaged the enemy knowing he would not survive the encounter.

Anzio.  After the town was flattened by Allied planes the troops in Anzio were able to consolidate their positions.  Although the foothold it still very weak, the troops have been given a brief respite from the fighting thanks to the 15th AF.

Luftwaffe attack, many dead and wounded.  This is the situation at an Allied vehicle depot and training facility.  The Luftwaffe came in and flattened the area in pin point attacks.  The skill of the Luftwaffe pilots was obvious and the destriction complete.  Due to the number of losses to the troops, an early link up with 5th Army in Anzio seems impossible.

ALLIES - 1361 points
AXIS - 1324 points

A tie as far as I am concerned.  Nice work daddog and Filth, it was fun to watch you all kill one another over Italy last night.

How can that be right?....the stats page shows an overwhelmning allied victory IMO:....

Allies: 125 Kills, 78 Deaths, 269 Objects
Axis:   81 kills, 122 Deaths, 148 Objects

Wanna explain how u came up with those totals? Allies had more kills, less deaths, and substantially more Objects.

BTW..'Uss Turdhurder' :rofl :rofl

Okay here we go.  As you may know points and I do not get along most times.  But, I did them twice along with MGD.

ALLIED

91 kills @ 5pts = 455 pts
34 kills @10 pts = 340 pts

Total kills for planes = 795 points

Points for objectives - 566 (taken from RAW logs).

Total 1361 pts

AXIS

54  kills @ 10 pts - 540 points
27  kills @ 5 pts -  135 points

Total kills for planes = 675 pts

Points for objectives = 649

Total 1324 points

Although the logs show that there were more Allied kills, the 10 pointers cost the Allied.

The objects were skewed because the Allied was straffing down the town near A66 (not an objective) just the airfield was worth points.  Plus all of the tiny structures in the Troop training and city really boosted the structure count.

1 structure that the Allies lost (the CV) was worth 300 points.

Frame 1  Axis Orders FSO  4-28-06
Attached are two maps. The one with the colored routes will show offensive and defensive assignments for each squad.
 * A66 will be deemed unsafe for RTB and re-arm throughout event, unless an emergency.

Attack Forces:

   Nightmares VMF-101:
Plane: JU87 max number 20.  If members excede 20, remainder will man Bf109G2
       Loadout: Ju87 -   One 1000Kg bomb, 100% fuel
       Loadout: Bf109G2 - 100% fuel, w/ DT best guns...less Pods
       Field: A35
       Mission: Anti-ship
       RTB: Closest safe field
       CO Tune 150 text

Stukas will take off at T+0 and head southwest to 7,14,3. Then turn south heading to area where enemy CV is reported. Use some
escort as scouts.  Half of the Stukas will attack at 10k, while the other half will attack from 15k. I would like a 5 minute separation between
the two groups. The lead group being 10k will get that separation. It will attack the CV once located. Try to pull down CAP. Hits will be great,
but the main goal will be to pull the CAP low.

The second group of Stukas at 15K will attack 5 minutes later, hopefully while CAP is low.
This group must do its utmost to sink the CV. RTB if possible. Those who died in a Stuka get a second life.
Squad CO get update on where you are needed next from Axis CO.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FATE SQUADRON:
   Plane: Bf109G2
Loadout: 100% fuel w/ DT, best guns, pods optional, but not recommended.
   Field: A35
   Mission: Escort
   RTB:Closest safe field
   Alt: CO's discretion
   CO Tune 150 text

FATE will take off at T+0 and escort the Nightmares JU87s.
FATE squadron will be the main escort of the JU-87s. I would like 1/3 of the escort to stay with the lead Stukas, and 2/3 to stay with the High Stukas.
The Stukas, especially the low lead group are expendable. Don't get low and slow trying to save them. Do your best, but use good judgement.
The high group of JU87s once the attack begins should become your priority. After last JU87s attack, protect them as they try to escape north.
If CV is heavily damaged, you may be asked for a couple of your pilots to strafe it dead to finish her. Its THAT important a target.
After RTB, re-arm and head to our city at 8-14 and help Bad Company squad defend it if needed. You may be sent elsewhere (Our troop base or A66)
if they need you, or to escort another JU87 run if needed. Stay in contact with Axis CO.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CACTUS AIR FORCE ( CAF):
  Plane: Bf109G6
Loadout: 100%fuel w/ DT, best guns, less Pods.
 Field:A34
 Mission: Escort
 RTB: Closest safe field
 Alt:  CO's discretion
CO Tune 150 text

CAF will take off at T+0 and escort the three squadrons which will make up our JU88 bomber force. (Ordnance Express, Rogue Squadron, and Sick Puppies)
The target will be the enemy city in sector 10-12. Protect the bombers in and out. Don't be pulled off them. There are always more enemy waiting just ahead as
you know. RTB closest safe field and re-arm.If city is not destroyed and JU88s survived, plan on a follow up mission. If no JU88s survive, contact Axis CO for
assignment.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ORDNANCE EXPRESS, ROGUE SQUADRON, SICK PUPPIES:
  Plane: JU-88
Loadout: Four 500Kg, Twenty 50 Kg Bombs 100% Fuel
  Field: A34
  Mission: Bomber
  RTB: Closest safe field
  Alt: 20,000ft
  CO tune 150 text

You 3 squadrons will comprise the main bomber force for us. You are tasked with the destruction of the enemy city in sector 10-12. Take off at start time
and head SE toward your target. Grab to 15k. CAF will escort you there. However you will also be passing through other friendly fighter units on the way.
That area is bound to be busy so heads up. Before you drop, assign pilots in your units lanes of drop (Right, middle, left) to assure maximum destruction.
Recommend heading out to sea west, for RTB, and then north to nearest safe base. Surviving pilots re-arm. Contact Axis CO when ready. If city is still up,
plan on going back to finish it. Make the first run count.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

327th:
  Plane: C205
Loadout: 100% fuel, best ammo load.
  Field: A55
  Mission : Escort
  RTB: A55
  Alt: CO's discretion
  CO Tune 150 text

The 327th will take off at T- 0 and head to enemy V base, V95. You are tasked with escorting IIIJabo squadron's Bf110Gs to target
Protect them, and RTB A55. Re-arm, and contact Axis CO.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

III JABO:
  Plane: Bf110G
Loadout: Two 500Kg bombs, 75% fuel and DTs.
  Field: A55
  Mission: Attack
  RTB: A55
  Alt: CO's discretion
  CO Tune 150 text

III JABO will take off at T - 0 and head to its target, V95. Destroy everything there. VHs, guns, fuel, ord, barracks, Clean its clock.
Report to Axis CO if it is destroyed. If not, RTB, re-arm, and hit it again. If the target is destroyed RTB, re-arm, and report to Axis CO.
Stand by for orders.  It may be tough going..good luck. Try to shut her down and get home.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DEFENSE FORCES:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 BAD COMPANY:
   Plane: FW190A5
Loadout: 100% fuel, w/ DT, best guns, and 2x210mm rockets
   Field: A34
   Mission: CAP
   RTB: A34
   Alt: CO's discretion
   CO Tune 150 text

Bad Company...For the beginning of the event I will need you to cover our city at 8-14. Im afraid due to the geographic layout it may be a
quieter sector than some of the others. However its important to stay on station for the first hour of the event. After that you may re-arm, and
I will assign you free hunt in hot spots. Please report any contacts you have over the city, composition, etc. Engage enemy bombers first. Try
to avoid escort. Inflict maximun damage to enemy, but not at great risk to yourself. Due not attack any bombers from the rear. I know its easy to
say that and hard to resist in the heat of battle..but try to remember it. Reset and attack from a better position.  If the city isnt attacked past T+60
contact me. If it looks like they won't be attacking it, I will release you to free hunt. I leave it to the squad CO to make the call on leaving the city.
You are its only defense. Watch map closely for flashing bases, getting close to it. I may be too busy to.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE DAMNED:
    Plane: Bf109G6
Loadout: 100% fuel, w/ DT,best guns, 50% of pilots with Pods.
    Field: A55
    Mission: CAP
    RTB: Closest safe base
    Alt: CO's discretion
    CO Tune 150 text

The Damned will take off at T - 0 and head to our Troop Training Facility located at  9-14.  The squad 9GIAP will be with you.
Stay over the Troop Training area and protect it. Also as our Ju88 force passes through toward its target, be prepared to send a few pilots to
them if they call for help. Take them to A66 area and hand off backup escort duty to the 347th. Return to Troop area and resume CAP.
RTB as needed at the closest safe base, but spread out the re-arms. If for some reason T+60 goes by and there is no contact with enemy,
contact Axis CO and you may be assigned to a hotspot. Protection of the training area is priority, so I will leave the squad CO with the choice
to stay or leave. Later in the frame I will have you free hunt.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9GIAP:
    Plane:C205
    Loadout: 100% Fuel
    Field: A55
    Mission: CAP
    RTB: Closest safe base
    Alt: CO's discretion
    CO Tune 150 text

9GIAP will take off at T - 0 and head to our Troop Training Facility located at  9-14. The Damned will be with you. Stay over the troop area
and protect it. You will maintain station there, even as our bombers pass by. Report any enemy contact, composition etc. Later in
the frame if we are doing well I will assign you free hunt. If past T+60 and no enemy has attacked the troop training, contact me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

347th:
    Plane: FW190A5
Loadout: 100% fuel, w/ DT, best guns, 2x210mm rockets
    Field: A66
    Mission: CAP
RTB: Anywhere except A66..any safe base.
    Alt: High
    CO Tune 150 text

The 347th will take off at T - 0 and head NW climbing as fast as they can. Once high enough return to A66 and provide CAP. Expect alot of company.
Target the bombers first. Don't get caught up in fights with the escort. If bounced head to troop training area where The Damned and 9GIAP can help you.
Hit and Run. I'd rather you get 1 bomber and run away safe than get 2 and die. I will not likely have much control over this area. Its gonna be hot, and ugly.
Squad CO do your best to stay in contact with Axis CO, so we know whats going on there. Keep your squad intact.  When you get out, head to a safe
area and re-arm. Plan on returning there to defend throughout the frame. Good luck :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UNFORGIVEN:
    Plane:Bf109G6
Loadout: 100% fuel, w/ DT,best guns, and 50% of pilots take Pods. More if wanted.
    Field: A66
    Mission: BARCAP
    RTB: Anywhere except A66
    Alt: High
    CO Tune 150 text

Unforgiven will be the tip if the spear..or atleast the front nub of the shield.  You will take off with the 347th, however you will climb south, then east to
take up position SE of A66. Once at alt you will patrol a box pattern, shielding A66, and acting as early warning for bombers, that you can call the 347th
in on to assist in their destruction. As with the 347th, its going to be a frantic mess down there. Stay alive! Get some kills but get out, and re-arm. If possible
try to keep enemy off our JU88 force that will be attacking the enemy city at 10-12. If A66 is destroyed, before our JU88s arrive, meet up with the JU88s
and contact the Axis CO. Provide escort to enemy city if fuel and ammo allows. Good luck!

Daddog post yours please sir so we can compare the strategies. Id really like to see what hit us and when.
