Good time 332nd
« on: April 29, 2006, 12:30:18 AM »
While trying to get home I come upon 2 P38's lower than I and decide to engage. Theres just those 2 and myself and another ME-109G6 (Texn).

I quickly realize these 2 low dots are no EZ meat as they cover each other very well considering their disadvantaged start. The fight goes on for what seems like forever (2 to 3 mins). Finally I score hits on 1 and smoke his starboard engine and get in a lucky shot on the other which takes off his fragile tail.

Theres no time to celebrate because theres more on the way and now Texn and I are the low meat. 4 P47's and 2 more P38's arrive during the next few mins (which seem like hours) and we go around and around.

I managed to put the rest of my ammo in a P47 (Tank1) but that tough bird just keeps trucking along. Before long HeavyH gets a good burst in and I lose many parts and have to ditch.

Was alot of fun guys. to the 332nd, espicially Maddog and ForHim, the 1st two P38's. Its frames like this that keep me comming back. And to Texn who stayed with me even when he had a chance to bug, wtg bro. Sorry I got ya killed:)

Thank you sir!  :)

I will pass this along to them.  Those two do enjoy flying with each other.

Joker312,

Thanks.  It was a good fight.  Maddog and I were trying get you closer to our help, but Texn and yourself just kept pressing your advantage.  We had to keep evading, but in the end we did get close enough for the calvary to close in before we died.

The two of you showed excellent patient and wingman tactics.  At least for our side.  As we'd turn to engage one of you, the other would press home the attack and we'd have to break off.

WTG on the victory.

It's my fault you guys had a FAIR fight for as long as you did.   I thought forHIM and Maddog were in the furball with the rest of us, so I didn't get the Mutts over there quick enough.  Once I did get the guys over there, Joker and Texn flew exceptionally well against the odds.  I think one of them even managed to put a few holes in my P-38.
