Just got my first trip navigator, the Garmin Nuvi 350, and am finding it an indispensable aid to fun driving. Tried it out locally, then used it on a 2600-mile round trip from near Washington, DC, to Key West, Florida.
Nuvi was fabulous: lightweight and portable, voice commands, color display, good in car, on foot, and on water too. The ability to search for fuel, lodging, attractions, etc. en route is dazzling.
The main thing is in all weather and conditions Nuvi will get you where you want to go. You can miss a turn, change your mind, whatever, and Nuvi stays fixated on your destination until you tell her (we call her Jill, for her American English voice) otherwise.
Google search for Garmin and Nuvi, and check it out at stores like Circuit City. This trip navigator is a new indispensable gadget if you do any kind of travelling at all.
