I thought someone would post by now.

The USMC and 56th were slated to defend A37.  We flew around for over an hour and saw a total of 2 spitfires that both had no intention of engaging us.  I have a whole squad that are very upset that they flew around for that length of time.  I had to keep assuring them that something would show up around the hour mark.  That came and went, and still nothing.  We eventually headed out to near the CV's and found a Hurricane and a TBM to  shoot at.  The 56th all landed and exited to the MA instead of refueling because they had no more patience left.  Did anyone ask these questions already and I missed the reply?

In another thread below, Newman the Allied CO, said he called his TBM groups back to rearm after only finding and destroying 1 Cruiser fleet. So there is one possibilty. Thats probably why you little action near the fleets..

Here is a snippet from the Allied Orders:

*Kill those FW190's!*
Our bombers have been molested by FW190's far too long. A fighter sweep
is in order!
Squads assigned are:
*9GIAP
MAW
Fighters INC
*Launch A23 SW RW in Spit IX's, SW RW with 100% fuel and a drop tank.
Climb out and head directly to A37. Use full power until the DT is
empty. That will put the group at 27K+. Climb higher if you like, but
your fuel conservation is most critical! perform a fighter sweep of the
A37 area and kill all enemy aircraft encountered, especially FW190's!

----

Both sides had orders to sweep one field and attack another. 37 was the Allied Fighter Sweep target. Its a possibilty that his aircraft were attacked or diverted because of attack and possibly destroyed. I will look into it some more later.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

TracerX,

After our first major contact we found ourselves
flying CAP over A15.  After doing this for quite
a while Newman sent us to A37 to shoot you down
and bomb the base.

While enroute we ran into the Schills who were in
a bit of a skirmish with blukitty and some of his
buds so we went to help.  Unfortunately we
never got to 37 to shoot you down.

But no worries, we'll shoot you guys down next time. :D

I see, I should be upset at Blukitty and his buds for stealing our kills.  I expect you to type your location in regular intervals over channel 200 next week so we have no problems finding each other.  :D

Okay TracerX...I'll be in touch on 200...
but I can't promise you that we won't
be partaking in a bit of psychological warfare. ;)

Maw ran into a gaggle of 109's in route to A37 . Our spits were low on fuel after the fight and had to head for home, it was a long flight down and we were in max cruise to get to 37 with some fuel . Maybe we should meet halfway next frame , or turn the fuel burn down to 1.0  . Guess you should be mad at the 109's ,  we have had the same thing happen to us in the past , it happens .
