Yes, honey, you do!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Oh, so now you were attributing "Mr. Nixon's War" to Al?

I'm totally confused.... I'm not used to seeing bikes fly past me going backwards at such breakneck speeds.

Sorry if it's too tough for you to follow.

Al blames members of the Nixon administration for "screwing up the in the same ways they did in Viet Nam". By extension, this places blame on Nixon, the head of the administration.

Got that so far?

(Oh, and I don't mean to confuse you even more here but Al also implies that Rumsfeld and Cheney had some big input into how the Nixon Administration ran the VN war...which is also wrong. Check out what jobs they actually held during those years. I don't recall the Office of Economic Opportunity or the Cost of Living Council making war policy/execution decisions.)

I just pointed out that the war was screwed up a long time before Nixon ever took office. It's a common misconception of the loony left that NIXON was the one that got us into VN. Easily disproven if you look at the timeline/troop levels/peace negotiations.

Is that simple enough for you?

But, again, I have to admire your desperate attempts to wave the red herring in every post.

This isn't about VietNam. Not about Al's post or my answer to same.

It's not about "Mr. Nixon's War" a term you erroneously hope I originated but which was quite common during Nixon's term. In fact, it may even have been coined by LBJ himself according to Wallace.

It's about dittoheads....both Rush's and Drifty's.

Megadittoes to ya Nash! I saw you finally broke down and quoted your favorite demagogue in another thread.

:rofl

Now I'm off for 5 days in the country.

Toss out some more red herring... it won't stink any worse after 5 more days in the sun than it does now. I'll check back then.
