I read somewhere that the old maps can be used and modified using the terrain editor. If this is correct where can I find them??? also is it possible to import other maps or even the ones we use now to alter for use in the training room or 8 player room ???

You can't edit existing terrains without getting the source files that go into making up a terrain. You'll have to contact the builder to get those files.

Again, you can't do that without the source code. AH1 or AH2 makes no difference.

If you created the map, yes...many can be converted to AH2.
