Questions:

FFT stands for what?  What is it used for?

The sum of a geometric series (1/a^n) is what from 0<n<infinity for a values less than 1?

Fast Fourier Transform, used to measure frequency spectrum of a signal.

if you mean the series (1/a^0 + 1/a^1 + 1/a^2....) the sum is infinity

FFT = fast fourier transform, and it is used by nerds! DING! DING! DING!  

The sum of a series where a is less than 1 is just 1/(1-a).
