From the CNN article linked:

Quote
the Bush administration has not called for an immediate end to the fighting, arguing that leaving Hezbollah in place on Israel's northern border would only make further conflict inevitable.

Anybody disagree with that?

Anyone think leaving Hez untouched on the border will result in a cessation of attacks by Hez on Israel?

Yeah, at least half the Democrats, three fourths of Europe, and seven eighths of the the U.N.

Israel will continue until they get what they want ...

an international peace enforcement force that patrols 10 miles inside the leb border installed to keep the hezboobs out - not the UN and with no Israelis or US in it

until that is in place & the soldiers are released, Israel will continue its strikes

United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon

There has been a UN force in Lebanon since 1978.

Remind me when there was actually true peace on the Lebanese-Israeli border during that time.

I can't seem to remember any significant period of long-term peace on the border from '78 to the present.

I'm sure somebody can remind me of when that happened.

my sources say 4 NATO countries, Germany, France, Italy and another country (sorry i forgot which)  will send in troops to control that border.
