I would just like to pass along some fixes I've found for CH USB stuff. I've owned a CH F16 combatstickUSB for a while, and purchased a set of ProPedals USB when they first became available. I was not able to get them to set up at beyond the first day. I contacted CH numerous times and was told that a new driver would be available soon so that you could use them together with no problems. That was December and there still is no "new" driver out. I was forced to hook up my old combatstick(sick pots) and my regular pedals, using the pedals only in combination with the USB combatstick.
Recently I acquired a USB webcam and could not for the life of me get it to hook up. I did get both my USB stick and pedals working for one night. The stick died on reboot. I was then forcedb to use my old stick and new pedals. Having had this problem with my fathers computer(USBcamera no-go) I deduced that the USB ports were not supplying enough amperage for all that he had connected to it. Printer, scanner, speakers, keyboard. I decided to fix mine like I did his. He purchased a 4 port externally powered USB hub and all problems ceased and desisted. I found a good one on sale, installed, and wow!!! everything worked! New camera, stick and pedals. No hiccups at all since. I never thought that CH sticks would need much juice to install, let alone function. I was wrong. With AH's stick set up and configuration interface(?) The USB drivers dont matter as much. If you can get it installed and calibrated in windows, it will work in AH, regardless of what "other sims" are limited to.
The key is to get a "self powered" Hub. The specs on mine said in "external" power mode, you would get about 200ma per port(from your PC). In "self" powered mode, you would recieve 500ma per port(x4).
I hope this helps someone.
