Ready to uninstall

Hi,
Three days after giving this sim an offline try, I figured it was time to venture into it's online world. I am not new to online flight with previous experience in FA1.5, FAII, and currently flying Falcon 4.0 several flights online per week. This sim, for me, is a getaway from the very demanding Falcon 4.0.
Here is the problem. I can access everywhere but the main arena. After two days of no success I even bought a subscription hoping that might help. No success. I emailed a couple of the trainers, but no reply ??? (thanks guys)
This is getting tiresome and frustating and I am ready to uninstall and scrap this as a bad idea.
When I click on the OK button with the Main arena highlighted it does something (freezes the mouse) for about thirty seconds and then kicks me to the ID login. All other arenas are no problem.
I like this sim, but if I can't fly, I surely will buy no more, and I would recommend others to write it off as a bad idea (Can you tell I am frustrated!)
Any help in this matter will be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Alberta Boys know horses and large women. But the easy things like flight sims evade them.

Ok,your getting booted back to the login ID area after clicking on the arena you want to get into.

This means you Username or password is not correct.

Make sure your using the password that HTC emailed you with the proper Login ID  (Username).

Dog out.........

Hi Horseman,

You wouldn't happen to be using Sprint CA as your ISP would you?

Thanks for the replies guys :-)

1) I seem to be using the correct password sent because if I change it I do get the invalid password dialog box.
2)Yeah :-( Sprint CA   By the way you asked that question, I might be Sierra out of luck, huh?

Thanks again for the speedy replies,

Heya Horseman.

I've sent you an email to see if I can help.

Although this is more of a "tech support" issue, myself and the other trainers will help if we can.  Please email me any time at sconrad@hfx.eastlink.ca, and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Horseman I was using Sprint.......almost every time during the day I was frozen out of the MA..........in the evening it was okay.

Solution

Get a new ISP!!  I changed a few months ago and aside from the odd disco that everyone gets I have had no problems.

Don't gove up on AH -- its the ISP!

Hi Skernsk,
I have tried my other ISP also (have two) and same result. :-( I have tried day and night for the last three or four days, even at 3:00 AM when there were less than 50 users in the MA.
Were you sent back to login same as me, or did you manage to get to the tower prior to being kicked?
I will keep trying as to do so is in my nature. Hope this can be resolved.

This may be way out there but try checking "poll with interupts" in the Windows game controller to turn it on. If it is checked try unchecking it and see if it helps.
I had trouble early on in the beta with the exact same trouble and this oddly enough was the fix.  Till I got cable modem service and I'm back to unchecked on the "poll with interupts"

Weird.  I'm writing this one down....

I knew "poll with interrupts" could cause some control problems, but I never suspected it would screw up other stuff...

I guess your modem and sound card must share an IRQ.... weird.

BTW, glad you are able to join us.  If you are interested in any personal training, let me know and I can arrange to have myself or another trainer meet you in the Training Arena at a convenient time.

Don't thank me. Thank HiTech. He gave me that fix back in Oct-Nov when I couldn't get on. I'm just glad to help for once versus slapping someone on the side of the head for not using good manners

Do you know where Pine Lake is? about ten miles from there to the west. Tornado touched down about 4 miles south of where I live. It moved a few 1200 lb round bales around but other than that, no damage to the farm.
and you?

Horseman, did that solution work on your sprint.ca account or just on your other one?
