Typhoon/Tempest rear view

Why are the Typhoon and Tempest so porked with the rear view compared to the P-47? the canopy and back of seat look almost identical in RL, yet you cannot see backwards out of the Hawkers.

Because they're not the P47. That's why they look different. A bubble top is not a bubble top, is not a bubble top.

actually, a tempest and p-47 are parked next to eachother at the RAF Museum, and both appear to be almost identical in canopy and rear armour.

And the P47 bubble canopy was based on a typhoon's.

Have you tried using arrow keys and pageup and pagedown while holding the view you wish to adjust?  When you get it where you want it press f10.

I've got a pretty fair view out of the back of both planes by doing so.

Ball, while the actual canopy ITSELF might be similar, the shape of the cockpit around it, the shape, and slope, of the tail behind it, and the position of the seat and how high or low the pilot sits, all are determining factors, and they're not the same so the result won't be the same.

I agree but one can still get a fair 6 view using the keys.

Plus, remember the Typhie is one of the older planes in the game. Once it's redone the views will all be different, and it *might* just turn out looking pretty close to the P47s we have now.
