saitek cyborg evo JS help
« on: December 15, 2006, 05:06:31 AM »
I have a saitek cyborg evo that I've been using for about a year now.  I have all of my controls mapped for it in AH2, EXCEPT for the throttle.

I have tried to map it to the throttle tab/thing but in the map controllers box I only have the controller set as analog and cannot select another menu (global, flight, vehicle, etc.)  I would post a screenshot, to give a better explanation, but I don't know where those are kept in the HTC folder :P

If ther eis anything I can explain in better detail please ask!

I assume you want to map manifold pressure control (thats throttle function) to your throttle lever?

To do that, select the Z axis (move throttle lever, numbers in brackets should change), hit modify and map it to Analog Input THROTTLE1. That controls engine in single angine planes and ALL engines in multi engined planes.

Hope this helps you.

PS: Your screenshots (ALT_S) are stored in your game install folder - by default thats c:\programs\HTC\Aces High II\) as ahss##.bmp files.

thank you schatzi!  after further testing though it's not working as I thought it would (giving me full control over the manifold pressure)  I tried having it started in the mid point, at full, and at 0.  each of those would put the engine at full throttle and I couldnt manipulate the manifold pressure :/

You need to include the throttle axis when calibrating your stick, Verm.

Or to only calibrate a single axis, select the throttle in Map Controller window, check the advanced box and CALIBRATE AXIS.
