Getting off topic here, but actually you can select an airplane in Warbirds from the drop down menus, but you have to disable transition effects for menus and tooltips.  (Display properties, effects tab, uncheck the box.)

C'mon HTC, fix USB controllers in Win2k so I can get a new USB joystick, rudder, and throttle!  (Hmm... this may need a Cragganmore bribe   )

Is this located in the setup program or in the game?  I could not find it in either location.

DV, it's in the display properties in Win2k.  Right click on the desktop, select properties.  Go to the effects tab.  Make sure "Use transition effects for menu and tooltips" is unchecked.

Issues with Saitek USB cyborg3d running AH under win2k. basically its calibrating wrong.

Its reading it, but I think its not decoding the numbers correct.

The AH calibration util, reminds me of an OLD dos based calibration device, perhaps they are using analogue, and the numbers being thrown out by the digital sticks are too low ( digitial ranges from 0-255)

FYI...

raw numbers coming out of win2k controller settings are 23-156 on both x and y axis, 16-180 on the throttle, and 20-156 on rudder.

After reading, and re-reading this board,

I am 99% sure that this is infact an AH bug, and not a win2k/dx8 issue.

I've had no problems on a multitude of other games in win2k... FA for instance worked no problems, and of all the games I expected that to arse up...

now I wonder if they are using dxinput ? or JoyGetPosEX in the winsdk ?
