Wishlist From Tazzz :P
« on: January 02, 2007, 02:59:38 PM »
This wishlist is complied and hopefully some of the DEVS will look at it or what have ya.

First I wish for the planes to be modelled correctly. Though i do know there is alot to take into an account therefore i recommend doing some "research" like the rest of us WWII Buffs on the different Planes.

I wish for the Devs to Watch The "History Channel" on Friday Nights at 9 CST a show called "Dogfights" and take notes on the specs of the planes etc...for instance since when can a Zeke (Zero) pull out of a 300+ MPH DIVE?????

The zeke's ailerons FROZE and was unable to pull to the right over 300+ in a dive....but yet in this wonderful game they can keep right on a turning.

I wish for the Hellcat to be properly modeled. The HEllcat had a 2000 HP WASP Engine and was known for it's manuverability and Power Climbs. Though in THIS game it is undermodeled badly.

Next wish is for the ME262 to be Taken out totally as There was a total of 12 Made ONLY 8 in use due to the high cost for the Germans to Build them, and they were very RARELY used during WWII.

And lastly Since when in WWII did guns shoot when they weren't manned? Basically they didn't and ANY electronics back then could be fooled with tin foil.....and weren't ANYWHERE as accuarte as the moro.....i mean Devs...have them set in the game as is.

I think this concludes my "Wishlist" though i know the brown nosers and whiners of the game will flame me and belittle me probably but hey to each his own. The game would be 100 times more enjoyable if Devs would spend a CLOSER time to the plane sets and Models and scale them to actual RL specs and not what they want to "Give" to people that whine for this and that.

So Remember "History Channel" 9CST Every Fri "dogfights" watch it and i'm sure it will SHOW you HOW to Make the game More WWII like. Cause i along with a bunch of other Peeps would like to see a more "realism" effect in the game instead of the more "this is so we can get more kiddies" to play effect.

I'm Done..,....

Wow..... Since when is the History Channel the leading authority on AC specs?

Also I've yet to pull a zeke out of a high speed dive.

Dont want 262's?? Come over to MW.

Auto ack is inplace cause there are not enough people at all times to man every gun..... Think about it
Theyll only give you one chance, Better get it right first time. And the game youre playing
If you lose you gotta pay, If you make just one wrong move Youll get blown away
Expect no mercy  <Nazareth>

all i'm saying is the planes are not all modeled plain and simple....and basically there are more ways to make the game More "Realistic" and less a ordinary Plane Game.

Just takes work....the accuracy should be reduced dramatically and or taken out totally on the auto-ack and make it a little harder to capture a base....there are way more things ya can add....

and as far as the history channel being AH spec....the show talks to ACTUAL Aces of WWII battles.....and they tell exactly how it was... i'm tired of hearing how much "WORK" it is to get the game realistic....if they are already modelling and re-modeling why not add that EXTRA dedication to make it RIGHT????

and lastly muckluck i'm not whining i'm just filling out my wishlist.....not calling for a whaaaaaabulance!!!

"''So Remember "History Channel" 9CST Every Fri "dogfights" watch it and i'm sure it will SHOW you HOW to Make the game More WWII like.''"

This defies rational argument. It is a sentence from Bizarro World. It would make a fine signature.

"''Next wish is for the ME262 to be Taken out totally as There was a total of 12 Made ONLY 8 in use due to the high cost for the Germans to Build them, and they were very RARELY used during WWII.''"

The production figure quoted most widely on the internet is 1,433 Me 262s, of which 300 were put into service although only a minority of those actually engaged the enemy. Ultimately they were paid for with human lives. The Nazi regime was not squeamish about that kind of price.

Like everything on the internet you cannot trust these numbers because they are copied and pasted from website to website. I do not know if there exists an original source for these numbers, as I imagine that the Germans of 1944 and 1945 had more things on their mind than book-keeping. However I have flicked through Osprey's "German Jet Aces of World War 2", and there are more than twelve Me 262s photographed in the book. But perhaps they are all the same Me 262 with different paint.

well of course it can pull out of an airshow dive within the planes limits but was it doing 325 350+mph? i doubt it.

Get your facts straight on the 262 - there were 1,443 delivered to the Luftwaffe between March 44 and April 20, 45.  This number comes from a contemporary history of Messerschmitt written by the firms Vice President, Rakan Kokothaki, at the end of the war and is reprinted in the NASMs history of the 262 (see Me-262 Arrow to the Future by Walter Boyne, available at the NASM).

There is also a list here of 23 different units which had the 262 - including JV44 which was an elite unit led by Adolf Galland himself (who shot down 7 planes and was wounded in a 262).  There are at least 3 other fully operational groups (KG51, KG54, Kommando Nowotony) listed here, several listed as partly operational (conversion to 262 not 100% complete), plus night-fighter, experimental, recon, and training groups.

The 262 was the world's first OPERATIONAL jet fighter, and deserves its place here.
