Ford flyover video grabs Air Force attention
GRAND RAPIDS -- The military flyover during President Gerald Ford's funeral drew a lot of attention. Some of that attention is coming from the U.S. Air Force who would like to thank the person who put together a tribute video and posted it on YouTube.com. The video features a variety of camera angles of the flyover and is set to the music of "Taps." On Tuesday, a lieutenant colonel from the Air Force called 24 Hour News 8 and said in the past few days almost half of the Air Force has seen the video and have been deeply moved by it. There was a mystery as to who the producers of the video are, but 24 Hour News 8 discovered they are from a local production company. We put the producers in touch with the Air Force. The lieutenant colonel has a message for that person: "What you just did, is beyond words. It's inspired everyone in the military, everyone who is fighting, both in Iraq and those here. A person who would do that is patriotic, maybe more patriotic than me. It shows what we're fighting for and it doesn't get any better than that."
