Being a connoisseur of cheap whiskey…

watch out for that cheap stuff... I normally drank (past tense) Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey, or Southern Comfort.  Went to a BYOB party for St Patricks day in 1991.  Stopped at the Class 6 store on base and saw a special for Early Times.  It had a nifty decanter, 4 nice glasses in a neat little wooden box for $14.   I collect old or unusual bottles and figured I'd kill two birds here, get something for the party and have a neat bottle for my collection.   biggest mistake ever.   Went to the party about 5pm.   having a good time, everytime I went to the kitchen to get a beer I drank a shot of early times.   Somewhere about 8pm, 6 beers and 6 shots later I wasnt feeling to good, drunk yes, but my body was complaining.   Now I have drank 5 shots of Jack Daniels in a couple of hours and didnt feel this bad.   I excused myself and went upstairs to the bathroom and proceded to puke my guts out.   Once I started I couldnt stop,  I didnt even have the strength to pick myself up off the floor, I just sat there in front of the toilet.  I puked until there was nothing left to puke and then puked somemore.   I have no idea how long I was up there.  Someone tried to open the door to the bathroom but they couldnt get the door open cause I was on the floor in front of the door.   My wife comes up and talks me enough for me to realize I'm laying on the floor and I need to move, so I crawled over to the bathtub and leaned over the edge and puked somemore.  Eventually I must have gotten enough of it out or recovered and went home about 10pm.   I havent drank bourbon or whiskey since then.  for a few years just smelling it was bad.  Everyonce in awhile I'll take a little bit,  but mostly now I just drink tequila and vodka

Rebel Yell is W.L. Weller that did not pass QC.
