Greetings Combatants!

Frame 3 had to be one of the more intense frames I've participated in in some time.  You could feel the tension and expectation as bogeys were called out and forces rallied.. Everybody seemingly aware the the balance of the series rested on the events of the next 2 hours.

And then.. approaching the fuel refinery in our B24s.. One Heck of a welcoming committee!!

Here are the scores for Frame 3.

As you can see, the LW came back and railed on the allies.. disrupting bomb runs ( though there is some confusion at the results of the Radar attack ) and shooting down far more allied fighters than previously.

Frame 3 is a definitive Axis victory.  WTG Axis!

Summarizing the 3 frames:

By sheer scores, the axis won by 380 points +/- for about a 3.6% difference.  By scores only, I would label this a tie event.

However, judging by the momentum and fierce opposition displayed by the LW and battling back from a Frame 1 deficit, I must hand the victory trophy to the Axis.

A very well fought and close battle on both sides. WTG Everybody!

One last interesting statistic:

Frame 1:  Total pilots  257
Frame 2:  Total pilots  250
Frame 3:  Total pilots  253

Awesome numbers folks!!! Thank you all for participating!

Next week is our off-week.  Give us a little time to clean up the CM command center ( damn Roscoroo's squirrels got into the peanut bags again this week ) and then we're off to early Europe.

Well fought battle all the way through!

Axis for a great fight.

Allied for our stunning good looks

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

I couldn't have done it without the great work of all Axis pilots, and of course the good people at Anheuser Busch.

Great fight all!

Isn't that what you said in the PM in the final frame?

I said, "I feel fat in this tail gunner seat"
You said" Nah, it's all in your head, you're good looking in everything you fly"

Now, did you lie!?!?

:D

I am suprised at the score here.  I thought the Allies had a great plan for hitting the Fuel depot.  Had they been a little more accurate and taken out 80% of both bombing targets instead of roughly 40%, this would be another Allied victory.  I was very worried about the outcome since the Allies did a much better job protecting the bombers than the previous week.
