Planes Disappear instead of BOOM! + Terrain dark.
« on: April 11, 2007, 11:22:06 PM »
At first I though there was an issue with MAJOR warping, but turns out the planes were actually exploding and just disappearing.  I did see one or two explosions with sounds, but I've been getting A TON of planes at close distance that just disappear.
No boom sound.
No flashing explosion of joy.
Nothing.

Also,
The new terrain looks like it is dark out at all times.  I can adjust my gamma up which I have, but it's almost like in other games that I've played, that the ground is so dark that it is like flying at the break of dawn or evening.
If I adjust the gamma to see as well as in the previous patch, the freaking sky will be so bright I won't be able to take it.

Not sure if this was intentional or what others are seeing, but it's now IMPOSSIBLE to see cons low on the deck and tanks don't show up or look like bushes because their detail is washed with dark, like in the evening or dawn should be.

This patch would have been so nice if it weren't for this.  It's very annoying.

Terrain is dark here too.  Looks like I'm flying during a solar eclipse with the terrain getting lighter as the haze increase in the distant. The plane looks like it is in sunshine with its emisitivity set too high in the material text file.

ya think they got nothing better to do than read the boards? I think they might be a bit busy working a few bugs out of the new update.
